- Noise and vibration assessments, including personal noise dosimetry, sound level surveys and hand-arm and whole-body vibration for plant and vehicle operators.
- Asbestos air monitoring by our occupational hygienists during and after removal work, with NATA accredited fibre counting for clearance and background monitoring.
- Respiratory protection programs, including quantitative respirator fit testing to AS/NZS 1715 and advice on selecting the right protection for the hazard.

What are the Australian Standards for Occupational Hygiene?
Under the Work Health and Safety Regulation, a business must carry out air monitoring where there’s uncertainty about whether workers’ exposure to a hazardous chemical exceeds the exposure standard, or where monitoring is needed to check that controls are working. That covers silica, asbestos, lead, welding fume, wood dust and hundreds of other substances, and the results have to be kept and made available to the workers involved.
Our hygienists monitor to the Safe Work Australia workplace exposure standards and the relevant Australian Standards for each hazard, including AS 2985 for respirable dust, AS 3640 for annihilable dust, AS/NZS 1269 for occupational noise and AS/NZS 1715 for respiratory protection.
