Why it matters

Crystalline silica is found in concrete, bricks, tiles, stone and many other building materials. Cutting, grinding, drilling or sweeping them creates fine respirable dust that can cause serious, irreversible lung disease, including silicosis.
This course covers the legislative awareness-training requirements in every state and territory except the ACT, as well as new and emerging silica risks in the workplace.

Is this course nationally recognised?
This is awareness training, not a licensing course, so it doesn't need to be nationally accredited. It's designed to meet WHS awareness-training requirements, and every learner receives a Certificate of Completion issued by EnviroScience.
Can I buy for my whole team in one order?
Yes. For 1 to 4 people, pick a seat option and check out once. Training 5 or more? Apply for a corporate portal with unlimited learners, billed monthly at $55 per completion.
Does the certificate expire?
There's no formal expiry date. We recommend refresher training every 12 months to keep up with legislative changes and best practice, and some employers or sites require it.
How long do learners have access?
Access is emailed straight after purchase and never expires. The course takes about two hours to complete at your own pace.
